Mark your calendars for April 11-14th at the Beautiful Kingston Plantation in Myrtle Beach, the location of our First Annual SCASFAA Conference. Together we will learn more about Federal Plans for our loan programs, Network with our peers, Discover more about Financial Aid processes and get up to date information on how to Sustain our Offices with all the changes happening this year. Our hotel is an Embassy Suites property which means free breakfast! And with plenty of room to share in each suite you can bring everyone from the office!

According to Wikipedia: "Sustainability is the capacity to endure through time. It can be defined in biological terms as the ability of an ecosystem to maintain ecological processes, functions, biodiversity and productivity into the future." Financial Aid is, in fact, an "ecosystem of sorts" and we must be strong as an association to maintain our membership, processes, functions and productivity no matter what our future holds. We do this for our students. Join your membership at the First Annual SCASFAA conference to learn more about how you can contribute to our sustainability and continue this theme on your campus.

Our conference will be packed full of federal and state updates, specialized training for every division of your office, and of course a little beach fun never hurt anyone! If you would like to be a part of the conference committee please email me and we will be coordinating a conference call meeting this fall to review our plans for April.
